This is a picture of the most up-to-date floor cleaning system in Lima. You first sweep with the broom, then put the gray wool-like cloth over the broom handle and swish the cloth around to pick up the dirt you missed with the broom. There is a fine black lint or dirt or something in the air all the time. They never have rain to clean the air or to wash the plants etc. Anyway it is hard to get up. Then if you want to mop, you put the yellow cloth that is like a towell over the broom and scrub away. Oh, you wet the cloth first and have to take it off and rinse it as you go. Anyway, I am not really proficient with this system yet, but will probably have it down by the time we go home. Don't you wish you had some of these cool tools?
