Conference Weekend

What a great experience we have had being able to see General Conference at the MTC with the English Speaking Missionaries. The spirit was very strong there and we felt so much a part of the place and time.
Then tonight we had our FHE with the English Speaking Senior Missionaries. I sometimes forget that we are considered Senior Missionaries. I just feel like a missionary. Anyway, we had a traditional FHE. Following Gen. Conf. we each share a talk that meant a lot to us and how we can apply it in our missionary work. It was so great to hear each person enjoy and be touched by the same talk we were and to hear how they were impressed by it and what impressed them and how they can use it in their missionary work. I am sure we were all in the same meetings, but we each saw something different. I know that is how studying the Book of Mormon is too. Each time I read and study it I feel differently about the things I read and different things are meaningful to me.
We have been doing a little sight-seeing right here in Lima. I have some great pictures to pass on, but will try to do it on Picasa. I will send you all the link.
We are starting the afternoon schedule again and looking forward to enjoying the members of the church from the Lima area. We do miss seeing the full-time missionaries in the evening, but it is good to see so many members come and serve in the temple.
We are settled in and feeling a part of the area now. We know which way is North, most of the time, and we know which bus to take and we even know how to get a taxi to go where we need to go. Such accomplishments. We do enjoy life here and look forward to each day.
