The days go so fast. Once we get inside the temple time has very little meaning. We do our assignments and enjoy all of wonderful people and the day ends. By Sat. I have to admit, I am really tired. Can't figure out why it is so tiring. I guess it takes a lot of energy to think as hard as I have to and make my tongue work on those Spanish words.
We are finally settled in our new apartment and so very glad to be here. Now, we are home. It isn't what I think of when I think of home yet, but that will come. We have the Hawkins moving into our old apartment. They have all temple furnishings, so it will be very nice for them. It will be nice to have another temple couple in the building. We were feeling like the lone ranger.
July (Julio) 28th is Independence day for Peru. So, there are flags flying all over the place. It is neat to see cars with a flag flying, people are wearing pins that are red and white. The only people who can fly the official flag of the country with the seal in the middle of it are the official offices of the country, so all the others are just a red stripe, a white, stripe and a red stripe going verticle. They even did a flower bed at the temple like that in geraniums. It is very pretty. So, we have been invited to the CCM (MTC) next monday for a celebration with them. It should be interesting. It is nice to be included in missionary things, since we are missionaries. We sometimes forget that.
So, our search today at the grocery store is going to be to find a drain cleaner. All the drains here are VERY SLOW. I would hope they have such a thing here. Wish us luck.

I'm glad you helped me find your blog. Thanks for sharing. We will be following it because we are thinking seriously of doing a Spanish-speaking temple mission for our next mission. We should probably wait until we get home before thinking about our next mission, but we like planning ahead. So any insights on the joys and pains of temple service as missionaries would be most welcome.
