This is our hotel room in Colca Valley. It was very simple, clean and a beautiful area. There was a note on the heater that said to only use it for two hours at a time. I can imagine how cold it gets there. The evening we were there we had hail, rain and thunder. It was so great for us Lima people.

This is a picture of a water color done by someone at the hotel in Arequepa. I really liked it, so hope to blow it up and frame it. It has more muted colors than many of the paintings of Peru.

These arches are in Arequepa. They each have writing over the arch that tells of how the author feels about the freedom of Peru. Of course, we couldn't read them, but they are in a pretty place with a very nice view.

This is an animal coop of top of a house. See the laundry on the line and the farmland in the background. This is right in the middle of the city of Arequipa. We also saw from the bus a man taking a bath in a small tub of water. He had on his under shorts and saw us and waved, smiling. It was really funny to realize we could see into people and their private places.

This is the inside of that thatched roof potty. Really pretty clean for where it was.
Thanks for sharing! Great photos - we are so glad to have "re-discovered" you! Hello to the Cordon kids that might remember the Hardy's from Boulder City.
