Day Three

Here we still are. We see people who get to go to their areas this Fri. and think we still have another week. I know next week will be different and I am sure we will really enjoy it.

Today we again started at 8:00 and went till 8:00p.m. What a day. We didn't get even a little time off, so we are really ready for bed.

We have been doing the discussions in Preach My Gospel. Today we taught an older gentleman from the community about the plan of salvation. It was really strange trying to tell him things he already knows and then I felt like he was almost answering his own questions. He used to be the mission president in Illinois, Peoria Mission and has been an attorney for 40 years. So, we really had a challenge with him.

We had two hours of spanish this evening. It was nice because there was another lady in the class with me. She and her husband are going to Lima also. He is going to be the South America West Auditor. Her name is Kay and she is a teacher by trade. We do have a few things in common, so it was fun to speak spanish together. She is much better than I am. I sure have a lot of studying to do.

Today was the day new elders come to the MTC. It is fun to see all the new guys with the little red dot on their name tags. They say there were about 200-250 new ones. The cafateria was sure busy tonight. I know some left this morning too, but it was still full.

We got our new name tags with Hermana Cordon and Elder Cordon and spanish church of Jesus Christ etc. It is neat to wear it in a different language.

Dad is sttting here waiting for his turn on the computer, so will close. We had a wonderful day and feel the spirit so strongly here. We really are having a special experience. I don't feel like the same person.

Also, it is strange not having to worry about meals, household stuff, etc. We do need to do our laundry on Sat. and we are the housekeepers for our dorm room.

Good night all.
