Well, Up and at the laundry by 6 a.m. That is a real experience seeing all of those young elders stuffing their clothes into one washer or dryer and then when they are finished just shoivng it all into a bag. Wow, what did their mother teach them? There were some who actually hung their white shirts up on hangers. Our white shirts etc. looked very wrinkled when they came our of the dryer. I don't know what I did, but I got to iron them. Not good. Next time I'll try some softener maybe that will help.
After laundry we went to breakfast with Rhonda and her new husband Doyle. He is a really neat man. He is working after retiring once and they called him back. He also restores old cars. Has done some really nice ones. He works in the Temple with Rhonda and they like to go to car shows. So, they are really busy. We are so happy for them
Then we did a little shoppping at the University Mall area. Jay and Wendy loaned us a car so we could go on our own. It felt really weird to be out in the world again. In only one week we felt that. We weren't too successful finding things, but it was fun to be out.
We came back and got a sack lunch, because we weren't very hungry, took a nap (20 mins) and then did the ironing and went to the temple. We did a sealing session that was really neat to hear the blessings the Smiths will hear when they have Camilla and Dallin sealed to them in June. We will just have to live their special day thru our Temple in Lima.
We came back took the car back to Wendy and Jay's and were amazed at the work they are doing on their house. They have been in it almost a year and have done the kitchen all over and the floors and are now doing a bathroom. When they get finished it will be really neat. You know what a good interior designer Wendy is. Wish I could ship her to Boise.
Made it back to the MTC in time for dinner and then tried to find a place to study that wasn't too noisey. Background noise I mean. Dad's ears pick up all the motors in the background that keep it cool in these buildings. Our computer speakers are very soft when we use a CD, so it is hard to hear in the best of places. We ended up outside and the weather was so georgous. Another couple and two sistsers joined us and we had a great visit. You will probably hear us talk about the Beals. They are going to Lima also. He will be the Western SouthAmerican Auditor trainer. She gets to travel with him to do his training and during the week they will be in town preparing for the weekends. They have a three bedroom house down there and have offered that we can stay with them until our apartment comes available. Pres. Bowman said they have not been able to find us a place, so we are invited to stay with a temple couple from Idaho, the Rameriz couple. He said they could arrange so we did different shifts at the temple and therefore have some alone time. That is very nice of the Rameriz to let us live with them. It should be about six weeks. That sounds like a long time to camp in someones home. There must be a reason for this situation to be happening.. Hope we can be nice campers.
I am interested to notice that one day in the world has given me feelings of loneliness for the spirit to feel as we do in the classes etc. here at the MTC. I guess we need to store up the strength of this place and the people here to take with us where we are going.
Sunday should be interesting here. See you then.
