We had a very nice Sabbath day. We went to a ward in the Stake Center - there are 84 stakes in Peru. I am not sure how many in Lima.
Anyway, there were lots of Gringos and they have a translator. It was a very good meeting and then SS with an english teacher who is at the embasy and headed for Bangladish (SP). Then RS in Spanish. They did have a translator, but I wanted the experience of hearing a lesson in Spanish. It was very interesting to me that I could feel the spirit very strongly and knew the sisters were enjoying the lesson and discussion of being able to forgive.
Bro. Rimeriz did the cooking today and he made a very good chicken dish, garlic potatoes, veggies, fresh pineapple, rolls from the panaderia, fresh lemonaide made like in Rocky Point. A very good meal.
Then we went to our new apartment to check it out and see what we need to buy tomorrow. We will move our bags over early and then go to the large market on the bus and ride home in a cab and then get settled. We need to buy all kinds of things like spices, actually everything that we need to run a house. Too bad I couldn't bring all of my cool stuff with me. I will have two pots that are sort of large, one crummy frying pan that is small and a glass dish I can probably use for meat loaf etc. that I cook in the oven. I will probably never make cookies or baked things, because the oven is so undependable.
We do have a washer and dryer in the apt. and internet hoockup and a phone. You could actually call us if you need to. I don't know what our number is, but will let you know when I find out.
Sister Rameriz teaches piano to about eight students on a keyboard that used to be in the temple. She is using the program of the church that was talked about in the April Ensign. It is very interesting how it works. She has one more student tonight at 9:00. It is the only time this lady could come.
Well, Good night all.
