The second day at the MTC

So, day two is done. What a day. We started at 8:00 and had classes until lunch time, then 1 1/2 hours for lunch etc. and then back to classes. We had volunteers from the community come for us to give the first discussion to. It is sure different to try to express the basics of the church and testify and challenge and commit and get it all together so they can understand what you are stalking about. It is sure different than when I went out.

After classes we had our immunizations. Steve got 4 and I had 3. My arm is hurting already. I am not sure which one it is that is making my muscle sore. We had to have yellow fever, typhoid and then some others. What a deal.

We had dinner and then went to the devotional. Bro. Melvin J. Ballard and his wife were here to speak. It was a little more informal than conference talks. At the end he told us to write to our children and thank them from the first presidency and 12 for supporting us in our mission. So, thank you. It was a great talk on desire. Desire to serve, to teach and testify and to help others have the desire. He said that desire is the key ingredient in a testimony. I know you already know that, as do we, but it was so good to hear it again. The spirit is so strong here. I feel like I am walking around in heaven. Can't wait until we are in the temple all day. What a blessing.

We are enjoying the association of the other Seniors. They are all going to such cool places and doing such different things. I think we have only about two couples who are prostelyting (SP) missionaries. All the others are doing different things. Humanitarian, auditor, Cove Fort, and all kinds of specialties like miding and water, whatever that is.

So, another day is done and we are ready for bed. Sure do love and miss all of you. MOM & DAD
